Help! i put toothpaste on a zit and now its a big brown spot!?

People said toothpaste would get rid of a bump so i put some on two nights in a row. But now my skin has dark spots where the bump used to be!! how can i get rid of it soon?Help! i put toothpaste on a zit and now its a big brown spot!?
